Fabergé NOT making diamond spider brooch

I love it that this is news: something isn’t happening… somebody isn’t doing something.

Last week there was speculation on the web that Fabergé was about to create a brooch, shaped like a spider with its eight legs and – of course – encrusted with glittering jewels, including diamonds. Price tags of $millions were mentioned (more...)

Londoner pays world record price of £29 million for pink diamond

In Geneva yesterday Sotheby’s auctioned off a very rare 24.78 carat pink diamond and it went for a world record price.

The bidding war for Lot 550 was won by billionaire British diamond dealer Laurence Graff, who paid a hammer price of 40,500,000 Swiss francs (more...)
